Ellesmere, Shrops

We've had a local day today pottering around Ellesmere, a little shopping for essential caravan supplies, some luxuries and treats (wine, chocs and good cheese) from the local deli and a general meander round the town. In the montage, top: the much photographed Ellesmere Wharf at the end of the canal, curious sheep and lambs and the 4 hens at Egginburgh Castle (we're on the 'chicken pitch' on this lovely caravan site), and the girls are our very near neighbours and always pleased to see us.

Glad to say that the weather has improved somewhat, still pretty chilly and windy but dry, thankfully.
