The Stage Door.

We’ve had the privilege of seeing Neil Diamond on tour several times over his stellar career. Last time was in late 2017 during his 50th Anniversary Tour.... a few months later he retired from touring after announcing he’s got Parkinson’s Disease. Such a shame.

I’ve never been to see a tribute band but decided to give it a go when I learned that “Hello Again - The Story of Neil Diamond,” a show on national tour, was in the area. They did many of Neil Diamond’s hits. Big screen film footage and narration was interspersed; this told the story of his life and career.

They’d quite a lot of musical kit and paraphernalia; we spotted their tour truck at the stage door on the way in to the show. De-rigging and packing up starts immediately after a show; by the time we were home they’d have been dismantling the set. They’d a show on 5 April and had played previously on 3 April.
