Cherry Blossom light

My last home had a cherry blossom tree with pink blossoms right outside the bedroom window. Light would stream through and make the walls pink. 

It drizzled all day today so, even with a weather resistant camera, I decided to only bring my cell phone.

I feel even more secure in my position. My boss' boss gave me a hug and offered me a choice in where my workspace is moved to because she knows I need quiet. !!!!

A friend of mine is grieving her mother. The funeral is tomorrow. When someone is grieving what can you offer? You can offer your sympathy. You can feed them. You can hug them. You can sit with them. I offered to photograph the funeral. I prefaced the offer with the reminder that I am only an amateur. She accepted. 

I know a flash is not appropriate so I'll bring my manual lenses because they have bigger apertures than any of my auto-focus lenses. I'll take pictures of details before the ceremony and of people paying respects and the repast.
