Prepared for the worst

This pub has a good store of logs ready for their vast log fire. We were there for lunch with friends and it was a good job we had booked as it was very busy. The fire was going well, almost smoking us out at one stage.

In common with most Surrey pubs this was originally a small country pub in a very old building which has now been extended into an eating place.It still has a good atmosphere, it's not too far from home, and is one of our favourites.
