Sparkles

I abandoned thoughts of the farmers market in favour of staying in bed, bimbling round the house and waving Daisy off on her driving test. She failed, was bitterly disappointed (mainly because she came home early from a birthday sleepover last night in preparation) but her instructor says the tester was harsh. So she joins me and Jay with first time fails, apparently she doesn’t need any more lessons so we will push on with the practising until she can have another go.

Her day got brighter by picking the grand national winner so ended up £12.50. It does turn out we haven’t brought our children up properly. When told we would give them a free bet so pick a horse, they both didn’t have a clue what we were talking about. I had to explain to Will after that he didn’t get his £2.50 back as his horse fell over. And he hadn’t had £2.50 in the first place. I have suggested we spend future Saturday afternoons betting on horses to get them up to speed.
