Piper

Piper is a Barn Owl who was so named because he never pipes down. He is a rescue at a local raptor refuge, where I was invited to join a private tour before the place opened to the public today. It was very educational and inspiring to hear the stories of the rescues and releases, and to meet the birds that are permanent residents.
