Our Maharaja

Finally here he is...our Maharaja. We stayed in his summer home, now a small, basic hotel for two nights. He joined us for the evening and we chatted about many things including his life in politics and Brexit! Have you all gone mad, he wanted to know.

Life for many Maharajas is not as affluent as it was in the past. The ýoung men standing with him in the top pic are his hotel staff. No uniforms, the lad in the middle is 18 years old who does all the cooking....our meals were simple but delicious. The pic of the Maharaja lower left was on display in the Kanga Fort museum. He has an amazing family line so in the local communities some status.

I think I have now covered most of the bits of our holiday I had not been able to post. Thank you for following us and here's to our next adventure!
