Dressing Room

Linton Jazz played a concert tonight in Gamilingay,  and were presented with a new challenge as Karen our conductor had lost her voice completely!  

We have faced challenges before - sometimes due to logistics in concert venues we can't see her which is always quite tricky but a great exercise in learning to listen to each other.

This time we were missing the Karen-audience-banter and the first half was over in half an hour!   But we weren't home early - the interval raffle was interminable  :-)

Cian did an admirable job as banter-stand-in, including remembering the names of every member of the band!   I do quite like the next couple of months of concerts, mostly fetes etc.  as we're well rehearsed and it's just fun.
