Today seven local walkers were joined by daughter A and seven friends from York to climb Whernside - the highest mountain in The Yorkshire Dales

The York party - ably assisted by our own NP - reached the summit somewhat earlier than us - they were using it as a training walk in readiness for the Three Peaks Challenge - they will conquer Pen-Y-Gent - Whernside - and Ingleborough - all within 12 hours

A good walk - but thinking I’ll refuse their offer to join them when they walk all three in one day
