Caen Hill (Sunday 7th April 2019)
When I was speaking to the CRT girl at Caen Hill on Monday she mentioned that if I ventured a few locks further down I might be lucky enough to see their otters. Although I realised there was a virtual certainty that I wouldn't see any, I thought I ought to allow Fate the chance to surprise me, so today I parked at the bottom of the Caen Hill flight instead of the top.
Of course I didn't see any traces of otter, but I was surprised when I reached Lock 35 to find a different pair of swans to the ones I know with the pen swan sitting on some eggs. I hadn't been planning to blip another swan image, but how could I ignore such a discovery?
Two consecutive blips on the day they were taken - is this a record? But now I have to rush off to see Line Of Duty.
