Boats at Alnmouth
Dinner yesterday was absolutely delicious, and irresistible, and probably contained more full-fat dairy produce than I've eaten during the last 12 months! Which probably explains the bad night's sleep and horrendous indigestion. Anyway, it was a very good evening with lots of laughter thanks to good company and 'Absolute Balderdash', which we played until the wee small hours. Six of us playing, all with wild imaginations...
So it was a late start to the day. MrM alternated between the workshop where he was lacquering an instrument, and the living room, where he sanded all the filler and hopefully got rid of the worst lumps and bumps on the walls. Meanwhile, I ticket off a few more things on the 'to do' list.
Though it was another cold, dreich day, by late afternoon we decided that we needed to get out of the flat for a while. So I packed a picnic and we headed to the coast, where it was much less misty than inland. We ate overlooking the sea at Alnmouth, and then had a very pleasant walk - on the beach, by the estuary, and then back through the town.
Home for a relaxing evening.
