Enduring the Weather
Last night and today have been rainy.....this tulip is protected from the rain, but not from the wind. The color is still good but it seems to be a bit twisted into something not resembling a tulip....but I still thought it was pretty.
I am reminded today that life is not guaranteed to continue tomorrow. At church this morning I heard about a friend who died last week on a trip to Africa, another with pancreatic cancer and another friend's grandson died unexpectedly at the age of 30 last month. Sad times for so many. The prayers included at least 6 people undergoing chemotherapy too. I think cancer is a big risk these days.....I wonder if it has always been a problem, but now we can diagnose it better?
Our son brought Ellie over for a little visit. She was in a silly mood and she was not sure about me with my new haircut; she kept looking at me trying to figure out why I looked so different. They didn't stay long......then I took a nap hubby watched golf and basketball. I just sat in my recliner with a down blanket and before I knew it my eyes became heavy as I dozed off.
