a throwaway comment

Whilst I believe all office-shoes to be rubbish I held on to each pair of mine until they were either covered in mold or unwearably worn through to the midsole rather than spend unnecessarily on the hated things. These still seemed quite fresh, but maybe they don't meet the sort of standards people who like them like them to meet or exceed.
