Coastal erosion

Apparently the East Yorkshire coast coastline is eroding at an average rate of 1.5-2.5 metres per year.
 
We live about 7 miles from sea, so I'm hoping we have a few years left before we slide into the sea.
 
This is on Mappleton beach, where the village looks OK-ish at the moment, but the land is disappearing fast on either side.
