Survivors

The mist has lifted, a bit, and the rain has gone. The sun appeared for an hour or so. It's still windy, and the wind is cold.

Laundry today, interspersed with sewing.  The centre of the New York Beauty quilt is done. Now I have to work out how to finish it off. 

I have an idea, but it will depend on my being able to get more of a certain fabric. I wonder what it is like to be the kind of person who isn't always making it up as she goes along ...

The magnolia stellata has dried himself out (he's the one called Leonard Messel) and he's flowering on, fluttering   bravely in the breeze.
