Time to bin the past!

Damp and miserable all day!

Ann's birthday today, so Mum, Ann and I celebrated with lunch at Rob Royd and then I cooked fish this evening. Not our usual kind of birthday celebration - for the last few years we've walked to Wentworth Castle across the fields and had lunch there - walking today would have been so wet and claggy! Another celebration is promised for the new year.

I've been throwing out so many years of my life this afternoon - in the waste basket. When I think of the hours I spent writing course materials and then saving them to disk for teachers to take away. Life seems very different now and I've no regrets about leaving that phase behind.
