Bulls and bears and beauty spots
Frankfurt am Main is a financial centre, characterised by skyscrapers and money. It's also home to a far more mixed age demographic than UK cities, with people staying with families rather than heading to the suburbs. Holzhausenpark was sold to the city in 1910, having been in the family since 1500, with the building in the photo dating back to 1728. Everything closes on a Sunday. No Trafford Centre, just brunch and walking. It's a country that works hard to relax. You can't put off the shopping until tomorrow when the shops will be closed. A gorgeous brunch of borek and then back on the plane to Blighty reading Beartown and wondering when stopping doing became a luxury.
