Boys will be boys...

The day started off dark and foggy but slowly lightened. This afternoon it soared to 17 C with warm sunshine...sweet.

We had a staff meeting with a guest speaker to speak to how to be an ally to transgender students at our school.  It was a little shocking and disappointing to hear so many ignorant comments from our staff. I did admire the guest speaker for holding his own with the hard questions and he finally said, "Obviously, your school needs to address the real issue which is that all marginalized youth must feel unsafe here.  Remember that it is a human right to be able to express yourself, be yourself, without feeling fear."  Let's see if there are any changes...
