Chippy

Another night time picture, this time Chipping Norton.

Went to Chippy to see a recording of a radio 4 program (Mark Steel's In Town) but we got there a bit late, and were the last ones admitted to the theatre. We were informed that we wouldn't be in the audience, but could listen to an audio relay in the bar....Ok, not ideal, but we are here now, and we weren't alone, there was about 20 of us in the same predicament. Just before they started we were informed that they were told that the bar was not allowed to serve while the recording was on, so we couldn't even buy a drink....Going downhill a bit more quickly now. A good few people disappeared. When the audio was turned on, imagine listening to an old AM radio that cost about a fiver across a bar full of people washing up...The bar was almost empty now. We drank up and I went and got a picture.

So this is one of the many pubs in Chipping Norton. The edge of the Cotswolds and all rather nice. The smell of wood fires was quite prevalent.
