Bluebells!

We've spotted some bluebells in a local garden, but these are the first wild ones we've seen. We had a walk this morning at Castleward, such a beautiful sunny morning, but it was bitterly cold in the wind. We also saw our first swallows of the year! It really must be Spring! We did enjoy the walk - and the coffee afterwards.

The extra is the new trial of a water turbine, trying to harness the power of the waves to make electricity. There was a trial before, further over near Portaferry, that was positioned in the narrows, where the tide rushes in and out of the lough. That one has now been dismantled and this new one is being tried. This one is more towards the shore, and in Castleward bay. I do think it's something to research, as an island nation we do have lots of coast.
