Caution! Men at work!

This sorry sight is the current state of the iconic Glasgow School of Art in Renfrew Street. Goodness knows how long it'll take for it to be restored to its former glory.

I had a quick jaunt into the city this morning for an appointment and was back in time for a late lunch. Mind you, the two+ hours spent on the bus make the journey feel anything but quick.

However, the sun was shining and everyone seemed to be cheery because of it. On the homeward journey I had the company of a very chatty chap from Belfast who had decided on the spur of the moment, having seen the weather forecast for the next few days, to walk the West Highland Way. His chat helped to pass the time, at least as far as Milngavie when he got off to start his expedition.
