Little Farmers day 4 (the last day).
Today has been a little busy. Theo had a "stay and make" session at school this morning straight after drop-off where parents/grandparents/carers stay on for an hour and help make something to support the learning of the children in their latest project. For the whole of this term since Christmas, Theo has been learning about Isambard Kingdom Brunel and so today's session was based on building a boat from scrap materials whilst considering the shape that would support the most weight without sinking (the briefest introduction for 6-7 year olds to displacement). The extra photo is a little out of focus and blurry but shows Theo with his work of art!
Straight after stay and make, Henry and I dashed over to his Little Farmers session. We missed the first half but still got to see all the animals, play, and listen to a story with our friends.
Back home for a speedy nap for Henry and housework for me before going to school early to sell tickets for the Easter bingo that's happening next Thursday at the school to raise funds for the PTA.
This evening I went to a leaving do for a colleague who was retiring. It was a lovely occasion with some kind and heartfelt speeches.
