Plein air painting

Today was our first day outside and it was glorious. Perfect weather, we went out late afternoon to take advantage of the setting sun. I have been inspired by the artist Charlie Hunter and have undertaken to learn a style suggestive of his. Thus, I have switched for this endeavor to water soluble oil paints which are far more environmentally friendly than the paint I usually use and in a severely limited palette. I am in charge of the group this year; that will keep me accountable and dedicated. My goal is to end up with six landscapes that I consider good enough to include in a set of notecards.
