A mixed day!

Soon after getting to work I got a call from a good friend saying his mam had just died. She had lived a very long good life and her last few years had been in the comfort of a care home with the company of her husband.

Today was also my grandson's first birthday. I would have loved to have seen him on Skype but we haven't had broadband at home for several days and he was in bed by the time we managed to get it fixed

Customers continue to be so good at saying nice things but I never expected tears from them at the thought of my shop closing!
