Baha'i Temple

B and I checked out the Baha'i Temple on Chicago's north shore while on a break from a hospital visit. It was a very beautiful temple and I learned a bit about a religion I had never known before. They are a geographically-dispersed religious group which embraces and seeks to unite all monotheistic religions, claiming that many of the religious founders (Jesus, Mohammad, Buddha, Moses, etc.) were actually prophets of the one God. Their practice is very neat in that it focuses on the unity of all humanity and nature and life, and is therefore very inclusive and loving. They try to leave behind the dogmas and leadership practices of these major religions and instead focus on the messages underlying these faiths. So.. it was pretty neat!
