Isabella Threadgood, naughty girl!
Yesterday’s perky day took a turn for the worse in the evening when Idgy went out after tea and didn’t return. This is so unlike her as she loves to be brushed and to play in the evenings. By 11.30pm we’d given up calling her and asking Mistofollees to go and find her, and hoped she was at least safe and in somewhere.
I’d noticed when I came home yesterday that our neighbour seemed to clearing their garage and maybe she was in there. Like most cats she loves to get into things, wardrobes, boxes, suitcases etc. We were trying to be positive and had a plan for the morning if she wasn’t home. This of course included extensive searching and leafleting the area.
This morning I waited until 8am and then knocked on our neighbours door, explained the situation and followed her in her pyjamas through the house to the garden. She opened the garage and shed and I called Idgy who duly appeared, scuttled past me and ran home.
Relieved, delighted, cross, I gave her her breakfast and a good telling off, using her full name of course, and then burst into tears. Honestly, how can pets do this to us?
Also why is it when we we’re cross we call someone by their full name? My mum did it with me and I did and still do the same with my daughter.
