And so it starts! We’ve just been told that there is to a restructure at work - several million pounds need to be saved so staff cuts are taking the brunt of it. Today we were told the broad outline of the cuts, the departments affected and the rationale behind it all. Fair enough, we need to save money, and it’s not going to be pleasant to go through, but that’s life.

But as soon as we got back to the office, the politics starts. The whispered (or not so whispered) complaints about why some teams won’t be affected, how they are the ones who don’t work as hard, why should they be protected. It’s unpleasant to listen to so I stuck my headphones in and kept my head down. There’s going to be several months of this - is better get my playlists in order!
