Relatives and Shopping

Those are the things today consisted of. Seeing my family and spending far more money than I have.

Spent my morning in bed spending the bank's money because winter is coming and I don't own any suitable clothes....well, I do now.
Met a good friend to do some Christmas shopping at a Farm Shop and then paid a visit to my Grandparents's home which is lovely always. I could willingly spend hours in their house chatting and laughing. Being there makes me so happy. I never fail to come away without some sort of gift - be it chocolate, a magazine or a home-made cake.

Days when my mother is in work and I'm home alone I sit there looking at the time like an expectant puppy and then proceed to follow her around the house all evening, talking her ear off. I need to swallow up every spare moment with her since I'm rarely home these days.
She doesn't have to but she always does the littlest things for me which mean the world. I'm having a crisis of clothing and she has gone out of her way to find me two pieces just to make me smile and make me feel good about myself.
Yesterday there was a bullying, overbearing mother in the changing rooms in one of the shops and it made me endlessly thankful that I have been given such a kind, understanding mother.

Also, I had a conversation with a child today! He's my cousin so it was hardly a random child, but I made effort to converse with him and actually quite enjoyed it. Some members of my family are lovely to spend time with. Others...not so much.

Wore earrings today that the Baby Brother posted to me from Canada and couldn't stop playing with them all day.

P.S. First ever Graze Box today thanks to a voucher from a friend. I'm loving it so much.
