The Old Forge (Wednesday 10th April 2019)

Used my bus pass today to visit the big Tesco but was back in time for Refna to come for Gardening Wednesday at lunchtime, only the second official Hotdiggity Gardens session of the year. Later I photographed this Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora' for Wide Wednesday. It is also known as Bachelor's Buttons or Double-flowered Japanese Rose.

Fifty-five years ago this day, the Four Tops recorded this (apart from some vocal overdubs on 7 May) as their first single for Motown (in the UK it was licensed to Stateside).
