Building Kallax

This is the alcove where we put our Kallax shelves. In Swedish it's a sovalkov, a sleeping alcove, and before we got to work there was a bed in there, but that's been moved out. The carpet needed adjusting too, so that's gone too. In fact the other two rooms upstairs that were tidy, are now chaotically filled with things that emerged from this tiny space.
The instructions for building our shelves suggested putting them together on the floor, raising them up, and sliding them into position. That didn't work for us because the doorway and room are so small. We had to build them upright and in place, but we managed!
