Waiting For The End

Armageddon's coming to Georgetown this Friday. At 7pm. That's official, according to the local rag. The nutcases believers will be at the ecology centre, holding hands and singing sacred songs in the damp moonlight. The Firekeeper will light the Sacred Fire at 6, the revelers will be smudged and then, at the stroke of 7, as the clock strikes midnight at Glastonbury in England, we'll either go to a fiery hell, or a new world will begin . . .

However, judging by the darkening sky early this afternoon, I think the Big Event may happen a bit earlier, although snow's more likely than hellfire and happy clapping should conquer damnation.

But who am I to doubt the wisdom of the Firestarterkeeper?
