Seagull Feather

The first snowfall of the winter fell overnight and into the morning.

Here in the Willamette Valley, with no frost in the ground, the snow doesn't last long on the ground.

It is so pleasant to have a frosting of snow that politely disappears after delighting the eyes.

I noticed this seagull feather lying in a snowmelt puddle on the sidewalk.

The feather was outside the little Thai restaurant where we enjoyed an outstandingly delicious lunch to celebrate having completed our Christmas shopping.

Gosh, what a great day in so many ways.
