Thief!

Our pond is a wonderful haven for wildlife, however at this time of year a battle ensues between the frog and the newt!
This image is a pile of 2 week old frog spawn which the newts have discovered and a feeding frenzy is happening. Apparently the newts will feast their fill this year, then next year there will be a decline in frog spawn so the newts will go elsewhere and the frog population will increase once more. Nature in balance.
