River of Flowers

Thursday: Oxlip and Erythronium

Oxlip bought at last September’s Honey fair, the Erythronium from “Search & Rescue“ section at the garden centre. First time I’ve seen them flower, more yellow!
Weather cloudy and a little warmer than yesterday. No wind.
Planted wild carrots and wild parsnip in the deep bed behind the garage. Added a few more plants to the blueberry patch: viburnum bonariensis, tulipa tarda, heather and the flowers for butterflies and pollinators.
Went for a walk around the garden this evening and cut a few dogwood suckers and wild fuchsia. Along the fence needs tidying but will have to wait!
MrD went to swimming class and did 3 lengths, he’s very pleased with himself :-)
After all last few days gardening etc my knees are aching and I may have an early night...
Goodnight all x
