Chasing the sun

For nearly seven hours this was my view from 36000 ft as I traveled from the UK to Arizona. We never did catch up to the fiery orb but it certainly was a wonderful sight to behold for most of the journey.

The weather on arrival was, unfortunately, much the same as when I left Glasgow that morning - rain, rain, rain! Happily the skies cleared after the first 24hrs and it's been blue skies since (although more rain is predicted in a few days).
