Le Puy Lentilles

I finally had to try Le Puy lentils, why do they make everything so grey?

Tuesday starts at 8am like all good days should (not so sure about that!) with Philippe's 4ieme class. We talked about Christmas and played the Post-It note game. I really like this class and I really like Philippe. Next, I helped Isabelle (another English teacher at college) with her 5iemes and then ran off to the lycee for more speaking exam practice. Came home and made parnsip, carrot and courgette soup. Didn't look very appertising but tasted good. Another class at college and then went to do a little bit of Christmas shopping, ending up seeing things I wanted instead!

In the evening Mathilde picked Thibault and I up from the lycee and drove us to Mireille's for dinner. We ate lentils and saucisse and I drank a liqueuer from Le Puy and drank Verveine flavoured tea. It was really an evening aux auvergnats! Was really nice to see the teacher's out of school and speak in French for a while. Mireille's parents were there and I found them quite hard to understand but I kept up with conversation and even managed to partake. I was happy to hear that Mathilde thinks my French has improved. And that I'm not the only one to find the Spanish more than a little bit bizarre. Thibault is hilarious.

I can't say I'm a convert to lentils but when Mireille offered me a doggy bag, I didn't turn it down so I'll be having lentils for lunch today. Clearly they weren't that bad...!
