Beautiful Edinburgh...

Many of my fellow Edinburgh blippers have already commented on today being the day they closed Princes Street so that they could start laying the tramlines. Or not, as the case may be... I had hoped to ignore this and get a decent but non-topical street shot, but having come home and looked through the day's catch, this shot just summed things up...

In the distance, some of the structures which make Edinburgh beautiful: Calton Hill, the North British (or the Balmoral, if you must...), the Scott Monument.

To the left: three "to let" signs, some fences to keep us off the roadway, a disused bus stop.

In the foreground: a complete bloody mess.
