Blip Foto Is Getting Ready For Another BLipMeet...

On April 23 or 24, Blip Foto (the registration Tag on car)  will be leaving Ocala, Fl and starting a 3-4 week driving trip across the  US, heading to  Utah, via many, many side trips.  
     But before the trip, I have to close down my Villa.  You are looking at the back of my car, with the first load of bonsai going to the Bonsai Nursery.  Tomorrow is the BYOT day which stands for bring your own tree.....  I am bring 20, only they will be left on the Rent A Bench.  The nursery will care for them while I am away.  
     Sunday is the 2nd day of BYOT and I will bring the rest of my trees out.  Then I can focus on the next thing I have to do.

If anyone notices, there is a silver wrap on one of the tall trees.....   The tree has an air layer on it.....   An air layer is when you girdle the upper trunk for the purpose of creating another tree out of one.  The girdling is painted with rooting hormone, covered with wet, Spaghnam moss, wrapped in  aluminum foil and left to send out new roots.  This air layer is ready to be separated from the base tree.  The top has leafed out all new leaves this spring, and under the foil there are a lot of roots.  It is one of several horticultural practices we use grow and develop Bonsai.
This is a wonderful hobby I have fallen into and I am totally hooked on it!
