Red Deer Stag

This was one of three red deer stags in the field behind our house today, but he is the alpha male with a total of 12 tines on this antlers, the others are younger.
At first I thought it was a dead branch I could see, and it was only when he moved that I realised it was a stag.
I hope the stags all evade the poachers and the maniacal drivers and live to grow even more magnificent antlers next year.
