Impressionist Sparrow

I decided to use today's bright sunlight and catch this sparrow balancing on the delicate stems of a young Kowhai tree.
Yesterday the forester had a good haul of fish and he smoked some this morning.  He then delivered both smoked and wet fillets around the neighbours.  The bartering resulted in fresh eggs and bottles of home brewed lager.  We are having a whole snapper baked in the oven with onion and potatoes, parsley and white wine.  I don't like seeing the fishes eye looking at me so I'll put lots of parsley over that.
