Star of Wonder

This is the star that sits atop our Christmas tree. It too is from Thessalonika. It really caught my eye all those years ago as it was so unusual and just a burst of gold like a star would be. They only had two in the shop, and as far as I know, my friend and I are the only ones who have it, we bought the last two ... Yes I am naive ;-) but I always remember her when we put it on!

I've always preferred a star on a tree as opposed to an angel, although the angel on the Peninsula tree last week looked really good. How about you all, star or angel???
