Vintage Busride

One of the bus routes was running a series of vintage models today, we caught a ride on a 1982 Leyland Olympian to its terminus, where we could take photos all round (extra photo) and chat to the driver, then catch it back to our own route home. Commenting that we found the experience more comfortable than the newer buses, the staff agreed!

We'd had a busy day, browsing round a demonstration of electric-assisted bikes in the Meadows (in a Baltic wind) and later attending a Talents auction at church in aid of the current project, winning an eclectic mix of a watercolour painting, a carved wooden grebe and a couple of boxes of firewood.

We now how to live!
