Fig Tree
We walked into Rundle Mall where there is a tasting stand as part of the annual Tasting Australia festival, so called “paddock to plate”. We then drove to Belair National Park and Old Government House hoping to catch up with Palladian and the Rower who were working there. Just before we got there we had a message from Palladian to say they were called away. I was disappointed but the upside of that was we got to catch up briefly with a young cousin who is the Sommelier at Crafers Hotel not far from OGH. This lovely Moreton Bay Fig was in a park where we stopped for our picnic lunch. It was a lovely spot teeming with parrots and other birds but I didn’t have a long lens with me. Next stop was our young cousin’s grandmother and his auntie for afternoon tea. We only have cousins left from our parents’ family and felt it is important to keep up contact and to reconnect with the younger ones who have now grown up.
Dinner was eaten at a lovely Thai restaurant back in the city then we had a nice SA red back at our unit teamed with chocolate covered black figs we bought at Tasting Australia.
