Long shot
Another somewhat grey blip of Paris I'm afraid but, well, that was the weather we got unfortunately. Still, it could have been worse - much worse. When we went to Rome a year ago we got absolutely drenched.
This is from near the top of the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur on Montmartre, looking out over Paris to the Eiffel Tower in the far distance.
We climbed 300 steps to get there apparently, but the route was unusual in that it took us over the roof tops and, in places, the singing from the service below rose up to greet us which was kinda cool.
I'm not religious but I did think it was odd that they let tourists into the Basilica whilst Mass was being taken. The place was full, both in terms of the congregation and those of us just walking around the edge. Odd.
