...before it gets better.
Not being pessimistic or anything, just sayin'.
The river is running pretty high at the moment, it usually flows calmly over the sluice or whatever it is and this raging torrent could be heard upstream. I know from experience that if it snows 'up north' then we get the results, high waters and flooded river paths - makes for an interesting dog walk - see how far you get before the water is impassable without a wetsuit or a boat!
