“Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom” psalm 90:12

I spent this week up at the Mayo Clinic with my oldest brother as he is fighting his recent diagnosis of ALS. I had many moments of heart breaking pain, followed by times of laughter and tears as I watched my brother deal with his condition and what lies ahead. Often when I am shaken to my core — I go to God’s word and promises.

Our time is precious and how we spend it really matters. Whatever life brings, however our condition changes, I am reminded that every day is a gift. This week reminded me to enjoy my days, spend them wisely, seek wisdom and make good choices with the precious gift of time.
