No. 30 & 31 Wood Street

The next building in my onestreet project of Wood Street, Stratford upon Avon.  As can be seen this is now a William Hill betting shop. According to the 1891 census another William lived here, and also coincidentally his name was William Shakespeare.  I don't believe there was any link between the two Shakespeares as the descendancy of the Bard ended after the marriage of his two daughters, Susanna and Judith and their children.  This William was a boot maker who lived there with his wife Mary who assisted him. Also in the property was Sarah Pulley, his sister-in-law, who was a stay and corset maker.
