Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth

Before catching the overnight ferry to St. Malo, we spent an hour or two roaming around the harbour in Portsmouth. This is the Spinnaker observation tower which was opened in October 2005 when the area was redeveloped.
Its shape reflects Portsmouth's maritime history through its being modelled and named after a spinnaker sail.
It is also known as the Emirates Spinnaker Tower, following a sponsorship deal with the airline, although it is actually owned by Portsmouth City Council.
We didn't go up the tower as it was rather chilly, but will save that for another visit on a warmer day.
