Garden tasks

Much work on the side border this year. The Portuguese laurel has been given a mighty pruning and today amongst other jobs the gov butchered - I mean pruned - the aucuba.
I dug up many roots and cleared ivy and late this afternoon we planted several plants the gov had grown from cuttings.
Just wish it would warm up and rain, we have been running the pump this weekend to water the veg patch and the newly sown grass.
