"offensive" bokeh can also be arty
Yesterday I wanted to test how I was with the mirrored (old tech) super long focal length manual lens I have. It is inexpensive, lightweight, and has a fixed aperture. The bokeh has been described as "offensive" and yes, under the right circumstances, it is horrible. It is an interesting indicator of how I'm doing - can I hold it steady enough to take in-focus pictures?
The fixed aperture and "interesting" bokeh led to some effects today.
My friend and I made our plane arrangements. It is always stressful. I was originally planning to go home on 9/11 but she really didn't want even me to fly that day, so we moved the trip up a day early.
